This beautiful Herring Gull was enjoying the amazingly clear water and abundant sea life thriving along the Jetty at the Barnegat Lighthouse in New Jersey.

On a really windy day, the birds will be flying into the wind and will remain more still making it easier to get a shot of the bird in flight.

I really enjoy pictures of birds in snow. They look so pristine against a white background especially this white bird.

Brown Pelican

I was on a boat tour of the 10,000 islands at Everglades National Park that runs out of Everglades City when I took this picture. This Pelican could be the posterbird for Florida.
