Common Merganser

I noticed that the Herring Gulls were hanging around the Common Mergansers in the East River. It seems that the gulls like to steal the fish caught by the Mergansers.

And there were a bunch on hunters, because we kept hearing gunshots nearby which kept the birds in flight for the hour we were watching.
