Spring has arrived at the Jamaica Bay National Wildlife refuge. The Swallows dashing around is one of my most favorite visual experiences at JBNWR.
Both Osprey pairs were back at their platforms this past weekend doing some serious nestkeeping as were many of the other summer residents.

I find that taking lots of pictures of my subject gives me a better chance of coming up with a picture such as this – especially with small birds when it is difficult to see exactly what they are up to from a distance.
